BecauseとBecause ofの違い
今回はBecauseとBecause ofの違いを学んでいきましょう。意外とよく出てくるので、使い方を覚えておくと役に立ちますよ。
では違いを見ていきましょう。
Because
「〜だから」「〜のために」と約されます。原因や根拠が基本的なイメージです。意味は今さらですよね？
becauseのあとには、主語＋動詞が続きます。
I ate a lot yesterday because I was hungry. （お腹が空いていたから昨日はたくさん食べた。）
I am sleepy because I keep awake all over the night.（一日中起きていたので眠たい。）
Because the weather was cold, we stayed home. （寒かったので私たちは家にいた。）
原因の意味のBecauseは文頭に持ってくることが出来ますが、根拠の意味のBecauseは文頭に持ってくることが出来ません。アメリカでは主張を先に言うのが常なので、主張根拠という文のつながりになります。
しかし、こんなことを意識して話す人は多くないので、あまり気にしすぎる必要はありません。
Because of
次はbecause of です。これも〜だからという意味です。
これは、because of＋名詞か動名詞です。
I ate a lot because of hunger. （お腹が空いていたのでいっぱい食べた。）
I am sleepy because of staying up late. （一日中起きていたので眠たい。）
Because of the cold weather, we stayed home. （寒かったので私たちは家にいた。）
Because」は接続詞で、Because ofは前置詞になります。

もう君から離れられない、夢中になってるって感じが凄く出てますよね。夢中すぎてあの人のことで、頭がいっぱいになって手がつけられないんでしょうね。
ぼくも恋しているときはあの子に夢中でした。何してるのかな？とか一緒に過ごせたら最高なのにとか常に思ってました。
全部君のせいにしちゃう、あの人は一体どんな人なのでしょう？すごく気になりますね！理想的な人で素晴らしい人なんでしょうね。想像しただけでもちょっと夢中になりそうです。
